It will include benefit and tax credit checks to ensure that people are receiving the right income, and tariff checks to ensure that people are paying the correct bill.Anyone can phone for energy efficiency advice from ESSAC. Groups eligible for extra help with energy efficiency measures, including help with central heating and insulation, include those in private sector homes who are pensioners, low income families with children aged under five, or children with a disability aged below 16, or those living permanently in mobile homes.
